Founded by a mom and registered nurse, Tyze was created to give parents a safer, smarter alternative to traditional hoodie drawstrings. Our goal is to merge style, safety, and science into one simple, everyday solution.

Why Tyze?

Tyze was born out of a simple but important realization: the everyday hoodie string is one of the most overlooked sources of germs and chemical exposure. Babies often reach for or chew on them, but standard fabrics can harbor bacteria and detergent residues that no parent would want near their child’s mouth.

That’s where Tyze comes in. We replaced the ordinary string with 100% European food-grade silicone, a clean, antimicrobial, and toxin-free material designed to prevent harmful exposure, while still looking sleek, modern, and wearable.
